Capitol Subaru Cycling
Our racing program began in 2000 with the goal of supporting local racers’ development. Since its inception, our riders, staff, and sponsors have worked to build cycling participation and individual improvement through community awareness, event promotion, education, and competition. We are proud of our efforts and resulting success, but realize the true strength of our team lies not in the promotion of its racers but in its influence on our community. Santiam Bicycle has departed from traditional
sponsorship approaches focusing only on racer support, and our racing program has been transformed into a community service project aimed at promoting cycling participation and awareness. We believe that through this mission of building cycling opportunities our club attracts conscientious participation and support from the community. While traditional clubs focus on what amenities the rider can get, our membership is built on rewarding what those riders can give. Together we provide opportunities for everyone in the community to appreciate cycling while the atmosphere we create and the events we promote encourage participation and rider development.
